Building the Duke Metering System
Prototypes of Dukes metering equipment were designed, developed and modified
where necessary, in the Duke Machine Shop in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. However,
most of the castings were made at Transland Corporation in Harbor City,
California. Dukes metering equipment is made of stainless stell and aluminum
with precision-formed polyurethane rotors. |

What Powers the Units?
All units are equipped with 12V or 24V ssytems and a various type speed
control. |

Field Test Results on the Model 43001
The Model 43001 has been thoroughly field-tested twice by Texas A&M - first
in the Fall of 1982 and again in April of 1983. The April test required
two days using Tordon 10-K pellets. The testwas conducted under the supervision
of Dr. Fred Bause, hist staff and a group of technicians from Dow Chemical.
All test conducted in the series proved successful. |
